Top 5 New Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Features
The 2022 wave 1 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is coming up soon, with general availability planned for April. It will put at the disposal of SMBs new features and enhancements to improve their productivity and efficiency. These numerous improvements touch all levels of the platform, from development tools to integrations. Here’s our top 5 new Business Central features!
1. Use Excel to design layouts for reports
This feature lets you benefit from Excel capabilities to modify the layout of your reports and then simply save them again in Business Central. Users can easily create and modify report layouts using Excel functionalities, for example sliders, diagrams, charts, and pivot tables.
2. More performing financial reports with account schedules
The presentation and generation of your reports is now even easier! The new version of Business Central improves account schedules to help users create financial reports. This ensures reports are displayed in the desired layout, allowing users to identify them easily and quickly find important data.
3. Adding email attachments to Business Central from Outlook
Never lose sight of attachments and documents sent by clients! This feature lets you download some or all documents received by email, whether these are invoices, Excel spreadsheets, or others. They can then be added directly to Business Central records for contacts or clients through a list of documents attached to the email, directly from Outlook.
4. Improved features for project-based businesses
This new version also brings enhancements to project management in Business Central. Project managers can now specify which client will benefit from a project when it is created, even this client is different from the organization that will pay for the project. It’s also now possible to specify where the work will take place, to add information on external references, and to replace standard financial terms for the project in question.
5. Validation of documents and journals while you work
This new version also introduces validations while you work to prevent posting issues even before they occur. Visual indicators will notify users of any issues in documents and journals, improving productivity, reducing errors, and saving time.
Microsoft continuously strives to make its products more user-friendly and efficient, and we’re looking forward to seeing these features in action and how they can help our clients improve their productivity and efficiency.
