Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.3 Now Available

Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.3 is now available, bringing new features and improvements automating processes to GP users. Covered by Microsoft’s Modern Lifecycle Policy, Dynamics GP now benefits from updates launched throughout the year, continuously improving system usability.

As always, Microsoft takes the feedback of GP users into account, and many improvements and features have been put in place at their request. These new features mainly pertain to 4 different aspects of the application.

Here’s what you can expect from Dynamics GP 18.3:

Financial improvements

Improvements include automated financial reconciliation, new user-defined fields added to the General Ledger Transaction Entry window, and new import options for credit card transactions. Some forms have also been updated.

System improvements

A new multi-factor authentication feature is now available to improve security. Other system improvements also let users customize the display of their homepage, and a “self-service” user type lets them manage their own preferences.

Distribution

Updates to the GP distribution module include new Excel import and export options from the Inventory and Inventory Planning windows for more flexibility.

Human Resources and Payroll

Social insurance numbers are now masked by default on human resources reports but can be unmasked from the human resources preference window.

Most requested features

Users no longer need to manually maximize the print output screen each time as reports will now automatically open in full-screen mode. In addition, the same copy-paste feature from the General Ledger is now available for Purchasing, making it easy to copy and paste transactions and distributions.
