JOVACO Spotlight: Meet Stephane!
If you’re a JOVACO client and have contacted our support team, there’s a good chance you’ve been in touch with Stephane! Attentive and meticulous, Stephane recently celebrated 10 years of service at JOVACO, during which he contributed to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients. We asked him a few questions to learn more about his personality and interests!
Hi Stephane! Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
Born in Montreal, I grew up in the Rosemont neighbourhood, then moved to Anjou in my early thirties before ending up in Repentigny, where I live currently!
I love sports and music, and I’m passionate about history and international relations, not to mention camping! A bit of an introvert, I love reading and everything that stimulates my imagination.
Tell us about your career path.
After my diploma in IT, I was headed for a career in programming, but I quickly realized that what I enjoyed most was customer relations, so I’ve been working in customer support since.
For a few years I was specialized in sales points in the food service industry, then moved on to a logistical support company for an accounting application for 10 years before joining my current family: JOVACO.
In short, 4 jobs in 40 years!
What are you most proud of and what are you looking forward to accomplishing at JOVACO?
Developing strong bonds with clients over time. These relationships have only become stronger over the past few years. My greatest wish would be to keep this going for as long as possible, forever even, and continuously elevate the quality of interventions with clients.
What do you like most about working at JOVACO?
I love being in contact with clients. I love the human aspect of my work. Assisting them, understanding their needs, and hopefully giving them the best possible experience. At the end of my day, I like having the feeling that I made a small difference.
Which is the most beautiful place you’ve visited?
Every place is unique: their people, landmarks, history … As a camping enthusiast, I travel around Quebec quite a lot and every region is gorgeous. I also love the American east coast as a whole, but my personal favourite: Walt Disney ?
If you could go back in time, which period would you choose?
I love the medieval and Renaissance eras, and the 50s and 60s … The history of these periods is fascinating. I’d have a hard time picking only one!
What TV character would you like to be?
Any character? Iron Man, hands down. Or for something somewhat more realistic … James Bond ?
What quote inspires you?
Many, but one I particularly love is this one: “More than yesterday and less than tomorrow.”
The actual quote from Rosemonde Gérard is, “Each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.” I simply adapted it to my needs.
Something you couldn’t live without?
Definitely a good TV show. If it’s crime or sci-fi show … then I’m in heaven!
Name something in your bucket list that you would like to do one day.
I would love to travel around the world: visit the greatest museums and the largest cities of every country … and drive around Canada!
