An engineering firm partners with JOVACO to optimize its processes
Company and vision
An engineering firm of about 300 employees recently sought JOVACO’s expertise to realize their vision of a scalable platform that would propel their growth rather than hinder it. This firm was looking to from old technology through a unified system with centralized data from which they could track the profitability and progress of their projects, as well as manage their entire operations from the proposal phase to the invoicing process.
Implementation
JOVACO fulfilled these goals by implementing a fully integrated Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics GP and JOVACO Project Suite solution. The firm uses Dynamics CRM to build proposals and streamline processes using business rules and checklists. Projects are now automatically created in the accounting system once the projects are won in the CRM. This information becomes available in real time and employees can start adding time to a project via an integrated timesheet right away to ensure that all time is captured to the project. Project managers can also react faster to help avoid cost overruns or other issues that may occur. Customized dashboards and reports were created to allow managers and directors to drilldown in order to have a better understanding of their project and department health.
Results
Within one year, the system had gone live across the organization. The firm now enjoys greater insight into its operational profitability and an integration of all its processes. The fully integrated solution ensures data integrity across the different systems, minimizing double and manual entry, bridging the gap between the firm’s operational and financial teams, and allowing information to flow between project managers and other departments. Free from technical limitations, the firm now has a system that responds fully to their specific needs and that evolves along with their business and operations.
