JOVACO Attends First Edition of Le manufacturier innovant

JOVACO is happy to have attended the very first iteration of the Forum stratégique sur le manufacturier innovant (Strategic Forum on Innovative Manufacturing), an initiative on the part of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and Investissement Québec (IQ), this past Friday, April 7, 2017.

During a day of conferences and exhibits, manufacturing SMBs could learn more about existing strategies and solutions for them to take advantage of new technologies as well as the funding available to make this possible. The various innovations that were in the spotlight either originated from the manufacturing sector or can benefit manufacturing firms by supporting their activities.

This event is part of the initiative Propulser nos manufacturiers innovants (Empowering our Innovative Manufacturers), a tour organized by IQ and the Quebec government to educate organizations about the various technologies that can help modernize their operations and increase their productivity. It also falls under the provincial government’s Stratégie numérique (Digital Strategy), which aims to increase IT use among Quebec firms. As such, Prime Minister Philippe Couillard and Minister Dominique Anglade were also in attendance.
