Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2 Available Soon
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2, the latest version of the financial management solution Microsoft Dynamics GP, will become available on October 1, 2018. Microsoft is always working on improving usability and functionalities to allow organizations to manage their finances and business with the best technologies and tools available. As such, upcoming changes are focused on the following main areas:
- Financial improvements: Several improvements have been made in order to facilitate transactions and make the application even user-friendlier, namely regarding payroll, recurrences and cheques.
- Purchasing usability: New functionalities will also be added to the purchasing module, which will be improved to increase user-friendliness and allow for more efficiency.
- Sales optimization: A sales transactions workflow will become available, as well as a new SmartList for deposits on unposted sales transactions. More enhancements will also be released to facilitate the utilization of the application.
- Top feature requests: As always, Microsoft strives to meet customer demands. New improvements will be available based on top feature requests from the Dynamics GP community.
On top of these new functionalities and enhancements, Microsoft is focusing more and more on cloud and artificial intelligence, which can both be harnessed to improve business management and the level of service offered to clients. A new concept called Intelligent Edge also appears on the Dynamics GP timesheet, which will undoubtedly continue to have an impact moving forward. As mentioned by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft supports the shift towards cloud intelligence, for example through its efforts dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT). Upcoming features for Microsoft Dynamics GP are also part of this new paradigm shift towards cloud and AI.
