Resource Planning allows you to allocate resources to tasks that need to be scheduled over a fixed period of time, to allow for quick responses to schedule changes and to help avoid possible cost overruns.

This module automatically enters and calculates the time allocated within an employee's timesheet based on the project completion date, percentage of time already charged and the number of resources assigned to a particular project.

JOVACO's Resource Planning module enables your Project Managers to plan and monitor projects by comparing the percentages of your projects estimated to actual completion dates.  This web based project management module is fully integrated to JOVACO's Project Control module, TEDI and Microsoft Dynamics GP software.  This integration enables you create links between the organizational and administrative aspect of your business.

Plan and assign project tasks as well as manage project portfolios in order to have a better handle on the capacity of all your resources.  Track progress by project, department, resource and benefit with bi-directional integration to each individual's timesheet. By being integrated to their time sheets, resources could have work assigned to them at any time and they may update their own assessments based on the time remaining to complete the task. This will help Project Managers follow-up their projects in real time, facilitate the scheduling of tasks and monitor the progress of the project at all times.

It is possible to define business groups; this feature allows you to manage the group as a whole rather than resource by resource in order to schedule tasks that can be executed by any of the team members. It is possible to follow the occupancy rate of the team, or by individual.

Your management team can view consolidated dashboards to simultaneously track multiple projects. They can review the occupancy rate of their resources and anticipate future needs in order to easily forsee when the occupancy rates will be at their maximum capacity. They will be able to quickly review the changes (such as a delay in performing a task) on the planning of the complete portfolio of projects.

• Gantt charts view to view projects by activity, milestone or relationship

Integrate to a resource’s timesheet to ensure proper project code entry and updates with regards to estimated time per task.

Review resource utilization levels in hours or in percentages. Assess project statuses with budgets-to-actuals and keep in communication with project managers when changes are required.

Attach comments by task to include additional project details for personal reminders or for group members within a particular task, phase or project.

Allocate a resource or a group to specific activities. Include estimated time planned and set up notifications when adjustments have been made.
