If you unsubscribe from our emails, we will keep your name and email address in a suppression list so that we don’t email you again by accident.

We collect Personal Data when you purchase JOVACO product licenses, sign up for a user account, create or modify user information, set preferences, or provide any other related information to access or utilize our service.

Payment Information

We collect payment and billing information when you register for paid products or services. For example, we may ask you to provide a billing address, or a billing contact for your JOVACO account. If you give us payment information, we use it solely as authorized by you in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

You may also provide payment information, such as a credit card number or bank account numbers, when purchasing products or services. We use secure third-party payment service providers to manage payment processing, which is collected through a secure payment process.

On What Legal Basis Do We Process Your Personal Information?

We need a legal basis in order to process your personal data. When you fill out our contact form, we will gather your data with your consent in order to answer your enquiry.

If we send you marketing information, we are using the legal basis of legitimate interest. It is a legitimate activity of a business to send marketing information to those persons who have inquired about our products or who have downloaded a whitepaper or attended a webinar.

We process your technical data in order to keep our website secure and this is a legitimate activity.

Who do we share your information with?

Retention Periods for Your Information

We retain your technical data for up to 2 years.

We retain your data in our suppression list for 5 years.

We retain your data from an enquiry for up to 2 years, in order to answer further enquiries and to send you marketing information.

International Transfers

Your personal data will be transferred to — and maintained on — computers and servers located in Canada, which is an adequate country for data transfer as determined by the European Commission.

European data protection laws permit the European Commission to make decisions about the adequacy of protection for personal data in respect of transfers which are binding on EU member states. These laws recognise that if a data exporter adopts the “standard contractual clauses” adopted by the European Commission, this will provide an adequate safeguard as required by law.
