For World Blog Day, Meet the Person Behind JOVACO’s Blog!
As August 31 is World Blog Day, I figured I’d introduce myself and write in my own name instead of JOVACO’s. So here goes: hi, I’m Maude, communications coordinator at JOVACO, avid reader of fantasy, sci-fi and horror, and coffee addict. I’m the one writing all the blog articles signed “JOVACO Solutions”!
As far as I can remember, I’ve always loved writing. I was the kid who constantly came up with fantastical stories and corrected her teachers. In university, I studied journalism, history, and linguistics. When a writing position opened at JOVACO, it’s a long-time friend, now colleague, who brought it to my attention. Now, I’m still writing a bunch of fantastical stories, and correcting my coworkers!
When I started working at JOVACO 5 years ago, I knew nothing about ERP or CRM. I was told what to write and I wrote it, and gradually I came to learn more about our products and industry. Little by little, I became familiar with the topics, technologies, and language of the business system world. But JOVACO’s blog is still a team effort. My colleagues are always there to suggest blog topics and give me content or explanations so I can write articles.
And that’s what I like most about this role. It’s a great opportunity for me to learn about various industries and technologies. I also learned how to write for the web, and nowadays, blogging comes hand in hand with SEO, so over the last couple of years, I had to become familiar with search engine optimization. Blogging for JOVACO means a lot more than “just writing”, and that’s what makes my work so much fun!

- Purchases: Tea from Thés C.G. and scented candles from SOJA&CO!
